There are some details in decoration that know how to enhance a place only by their intrinsic quality and their visual aspect. This is the case for the white oak engineered floor. A true splendor, this flooring will enhance any room in the house. And make no mistake, it is not the same as standard hardwood flooring. Zoom in on white oak engineered flooring!

Hardwood or white oak engineered flooring?

Although similar in appearance, there are some differences between the two types of flooring. In general, hardwood flooring is slightly less expensive than its engineered counterpart. This difference is likely due to the fact that it is manufactured differently, with a top layer of solid hardwood backed by several layers of plywood.

Three-quarters of an inch thick, solid hardwood has only one piece of wood for each strip and is all natural.
Engineered wood flooring varies in thickness, being so 5/8 or ¾ of an inch, ½ etc. It is also made of real natural solid wood, but it is made of layers on top of each other. Its great versatility makes it the perfect flooring for just about any room in the house.

White oak is used extensively because of its natural beauty and exceptional durability, giving it a high level of resistance to bumps and dents. They provide a smooth, uniform surface that is less visually distracting than other wood species, such as red oak.

Why choose an engineered white oak floor?

Engineered wood is known for its greater resistance to humidity, which is why it can be installed where hardwood is not recommended. White oak brings a lot of brightness and a particular design that will enhance the room in which it is installed.

Engineered white oak flooring is known for its ability to withstand the daily wear and tear of the floor, whether in the home, office or business.

White oak has a bold, straight grain and sometimes a wavy pattern. Its grain is therefore very visible and its texture is rather imprecise. Its high tannin content makes it a very insect and fungus resistant wood floor. In terms of color, white oak offers rich natural hues ranging from beige to gray and everything in between.
